SN 2004ex:<br>

This SN was discovered by TOSS (Odd Trondal and Michael Schwartz)
<a href="http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/08400/08418.html#item1"> 
(IAUC 8418)</a> on October 11, 2004, and was absent on September 24, 
2004, so discovered rather young. LOSS data by Li et al. show
this is a very young SNe, not seen on Oct. 10.<br>

The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ngc+182&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">NGC 182</a> 
is at z=0.017549 (NED).<br>

<a href="http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/08400/08420.html#item2"> 
(IAUC 8420)</a> report this is a type II SN, within a few weeks 
of maximum.
