SN 2004fc:<br>

This SN was discovered by LOSS 
<a href="http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/08400/08422.html#item2"> 
(IAUC 8422)</a> on October 21, 2004, and was absent on October 6, 
2004, so discovered rather young.<br> 
<br>
The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ngc+701&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">NGC 701</a> 
is at z=0.006101 (NED).<br>

Analysis of pre-discovery data by Itagaki (IAUC 8422) suggests a
young II-P. Conformed by spectoscopy from the 2.3 ANU telescope
reported by Salvo et al.
