This SN was discovered by LOSS

(IAUC 8476)</a> on February 1, 2005, and absent on January 22, 2005, 
so discovered rather young.<br>

The host galaxy

is at z=0.021285 (NED).<br>

A CCCP spectrum by obtained Soderberg and Fox (Atel 406) shows this is a type II SN.
