SN 2005ad:<br>

This SN was discovered by Itagaki 
<a href="http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/08400/08479.html#item1"> 
(IAUC 8479)</a> on February 6, 2005, and absent on January 8, 2005, 
so discovered rather young.<br> 
<br>
The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ngc+941&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">NGC 941</a> 
is at z=0.005364 (NED).<br>

Spectrum by Morrell and Olivares (for CSP) show this is a young
type II SN.<br>
