SN 2005au:<br>

This SN was discovered by R. Arbour (IAUC 8496)
on Month 19, 2005. Spectrum reported by Modjaz et al. (CBET 131)
shows it is a very young (<30 days) type II.<br>

The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ngc+5056&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">NGC 5056</a> 
is at z=0.018653 (NED).<br>
