SN 2005ba:<br>

This SN was discovered by Kildahl et al. (IAUC 8503),
on April 1, 2005, and absent on December 12, 2004. 
Spectra indicate very young age.<br>

The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ngc+3746&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">NGC 3746</a> 
is at z=0.030094 (NED).<br>

Spectrum reported by Foley et al. (CBET 136) shows this is a young type II SN.
