This SN was discovered by Doug Rich (CBET 148) on April 27, 2005, and absent on April 11, 2005, so discovered rather young.

The host galaxy MCG +12-13-19 is at z=0.031218 (NED).

CCCP spectrum from April 30 shows this is a type IIn SN.
