(IAUC 8544)</a> on June 2 (marginal) and June 12, 2005, and absent on May 23, 2005, 
so discovered rather young.<br>

The host galaxy

is at z=0.025878 (NED).<br>

Spectrum reported by Modjaz et al. (same IAUC) shows this is a type IIn SN.
