Flexure

The gravitational flexure of the telescope mount.

Input Format:

A floating point number of degrees per cosine of elevation, between -90 and 90, exclusive.

Operators:
-a
The unary minus operator changes the sign of its operand.

Use with do-loops:
When a Flexure variable is used as the dependent variable of a do-loop, the associated loop increment is specified as a Sexagesimal constant.
Context:
Gravity exerts a torque around the elevation axis that tends to reduce the actual elevation that is acheived. This is parameterized as the number of degrees of droop per cosine of elevation. This is added to the pointing model via the flexure argument of the tilts command.
