Tilt

The tilt angle of a telescope axis.

Input Format:

A sexagesimal number between -90 and 90 degrees, exclusive.

Operators:
-a
The unary minus operator changes the sign of its operand.

Use with do-loops:
When a Tilt variable is used as the dependent variable of a do-loop, the associated loop increment is specified as a Sexagesimal constant.
Context:
Telescope axes can not be aligned to the precision needed by the CBI. The deviation of the orientation of an axis from the ideal is represented as a tilt. The tilts and collimate commands use Tilt datatypes to tell the control system the size of these tilts.
