Fermi (GLAST) first light!

The Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope was succesfully launched on June 11, 2008, and the spectacular first-light image from the Large Are Telescope (LAT) displayed below was released by the Fermi-LAT collaboration on August 26, 2008.
