Public machines
Wired connections :
DHCP: If you're connecting to the internet from a campus office or lab, just connect your PC/laptop to any (except the last one, which is a phone port) of the wall ports. Wall ports are by default configured to provide a DHCP address.
STATIC: If you need to use a static IP for your PC, please send your request to help@astro.caltech.edu.

Using wireless :
IMSS manages the wireless networks on Caltech campus. Please check the
- If you have an IMSS (access.caltech) account, you can use "Caltech BeaverNet".
- If you have registered the MAC addreess of your PC/laptop with IMSS, then you can use wireless network "Caltech Registered".
- Otherwise, you can use "Caltech Guest" which does not required any authetication but only HTTP, HTTPS, SSH and VPN* are currently allowed with this SSID.
