January 19 7-9PM, 2023

Event Type: High School Stargazing

PUC Early College Academy for Leaders & Scholars (eCALS) is local high school with a large spanish-speaking population.
Postdoc Margaret Lazzarini has been working with a science teacher there, and has organized an event (the first of many?)
where we'll provide a short public science lecture (in Spanish) followed by telescope observing at the campus.

We will plan to arrive by 6:30PM to allow for sufficient time to setup for the presentation, and then assemble the telescopes
on the adjacent athletic fields. We'll plan to look at Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and some deep sky objects like Pleiades, Orion Nebula,
etc. No experience necessary.

Campus is only about 20 minutes drive from here in Highland Park area.
