Figure 6: BICEP mount and environmental enclosure. The mount allows the receiver to continuously rotate about the optical axis and periodically toggle by 180 degrees in azimuth.
BICEP will combine a 20 cm primary aperture, refractive optics, and a polarization-sensitive detector array cooled to 250 mK to achieve 1 deg and 0.7 deg beams at 100 GHz and 150 GHz, respectively, over a 20-degree diameter field-of-view.
